Honorably discharged veterans of any branch of the armed forces will soon be eligible to shop online at the Navy Exchange. Clink on the link for more information and follow the link to verify your service. I've already done it and it is quick and easy.

Looks pretty good. Us UK vets (2nd Regiment Royal Green Jackets 1987-91, 5th Regiment RGJ territorials 1991-2001) don't have anything like that. We have the Forces Discount Service, and that's about it.

It ustawas that the US Military Exchanges were a pretty decent deal. Any more it's hard for them to compete the the Amazons and Walmarts of the world because of sheer volume. Much of the time I was on active duty (1977 to 1997) they were a good deal for things but toward the end of that time they were a decent deal if you were spending less than $10 (batteries, film, etc) and then over $200 (because of being tax-free). The Class VI store for alkiehaul purchases is still an extremely good deal, though; very hard to beat the booze prices! Outside the US the US Military Exchanges sell in USD but when I was in Germany in the '80s the Canadian Exchanges sold in local currency so if the exchange rate was particularly favorable to the USD some unbelievable deals could be had on the Canadian Forces Bases.
