Need a bike delivering from Pennsylvania, how to go about it?

Been Around the Block
I need to have a bike delivered from just west of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Conneticut around 400 miles.

What is the best and cheapest way to do this? As I'm from the UK would have no idea where to start or how to do it.

Are there any people who ship bikes around for cheap? In the UK we have shiply.com where you can get bikes delivered across 300 miles for around £100.

Would appreciate any help from US members. Thanks!

Timing isn't that important to me but price is! In the next couple of weeks or so would be good.

It's going from West Pennsylvania to Ansonia in Conneticut 467 miles in total.

Well... Let me ask around. I have some buddys who may haul it for ya for gas money and a little extra cash.

You'd be surprised what you can fit in the back of a Prius.

I found a 1970 Bridgestone 200 parts bike. I took off the front end at got it in there with room to spare!

Unfortunately there is no bike any longer, asshole deliberately messed us around, we tried picking up and paying for the bike twice, wouldn't pick up his phone, give his address or answer e-mails. Then made strange demands and finally told us the bike was sold making some excuses. Wasted our time and money.

Here is the name and shame:

did you pay w paypal ?

Yep gave him a deposit, the rest we could have paid cash in hand or paypal with no fees (we would have paid all the fees etc.). But he refused to part with his address and stopped picking up calls or replying to e-mails.

Guy who went to pick up the bike had to drive past his town, because he refused to communicate. The seller then tried to cancel with ebay.

guess he sold it to someone else ? id open a case w ebay...if nothing else just to fuck w him..
im guessing he was pissed only having one bid ? id actually go after him for your expenses - as your bid is a legal binding sale contract..ebay may just grab your expenses from his paypal...or just suspend his acct..worth a try

Wouldn't really know how to go about it, to be fair.

A sale is a sale, never had such an experience.

-Update-

Just reported it to ebay, they are investigating it, and again I'm on the look out for a CB500T, only requirement is chrome is good and preferrably a lower mileage engine, and example needing some work is quite acceptable!

Unfortunately for me real estate and vehicles are not covered by ebay and are not legally binding on ebay.

The most I can do is leave the seller negative feedback.
