Need filter material for petcock assembly

The filter material on the upstand into the petrol tank from the petcock is history.

Any ideas what I can replace it with? (These days there must be something better than the material)

If you're talking about the mesh fabric that is held in place by that plastic frame, don't bother. Toss it. Get inline fuel filters that go on each fuel line between the tank and carbs. Cheap and they work.

You'll spend way too much time trying to wrap the petcock in some new filter material which is likely just going to end up going through your fuel line into the carbs and plugging a jet.

polaris ATV fuel line filters are tiny white/red inline units that look ok as they are small and work fine, i found them at the dealer, and he had some tiny clear ones too.

Try small engine part/repair places too. They have some really nice small inline filters cheap.
Great fuel line too.
