Been Around the Block
Morning dotheton! I just rebuild my 69 cl350. Just got it broke in last week with some runs of progressing from 1/2, then 3/4 throttle in 2nd, 3rd gear with cutting the throttle to get oil circulating to cool the top end. Bike was running great! It's starting heating up this week in Phoenix and the temp was 104 yesterday. Took the bike for a spin, just 45 mph in town. Once the bike got hot it would die and be harder to kick. Let it sit for 5-10 mins and it would feel normal on the kick and fire right up. Makes me thing my jetting it off and the motor is running to hot. I'm running pods and shorter cans on stock head pipes. CrazyPJ setup the carbs with a baseline of what he would run for the pods and alittle more freed up exhaust. I'll have to look what jets i'm running.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

One other thing to note is I set the valves once rebuild, but I haven't re-checked them since I've run it.

Funny you say that, i had this problem during my break in, turned out the right coil would shut down when it was hot. Just replaced it, i'll double check spark with them both.

Sounds like it may be a bad coil.
