Need some suggestions on this seat setup....

Been Around the Block
This is my first foray into a seat that requires any sort of fabrication. Before anybody says it...no I'm not going with something other than the Dime City seat. :D

So....here is what the DCC brat seat looks like just sitting on my frame. Width wise it's great. I also have their rear hoop coming and the width of it matches the tail end of the GN400 frame perfectly. My two issues are with the front at the tank, and the rear of my frame where the two tubes meet and cause that kink upwards.

For the front I figure I have two options.
1: carefully notch the front edge to fit around the raised up mounting tab on the tank. If I'm really neat about it, I think I can notch it and replace the fabric over it.
2: Put a slight upward bend in the front 2 inches or so of the seat pan (it's aluminum I believe and bends with a little effort).

For the rest of the seat, I tried bending the pan to follow the existing lines of the frame, but with the built-in upsweep, it ends up looking way too much like a banana seat. No bueno. This means my plan of cutting my frame behind the shock mounts and welding the DCC hoop on there is a no-go.
How difficult will it be to cut the frame in front of the shock mount, where the tubing is flat? The shock mount is welded onto that long gusset, so I figured I could make a nice curved cut behind the shock mount, to keep that intact. Does it look like I'll be able to then reweld that lower section of frame tube back onto the DCC hoop? I'm not a welder so I'll be having a friend help me with that part, but I just want to make sure it would still be structurally sound.

Hopefully that all makes sense. Any and all input is appreciated.

and here's a really crappy sketch of what I was thinking for the rear. Whit is where I would cut, red is the new rear hoop, blue is where it would get re-welded.

I apologize that I don't really have any info for you towards your question, but I do pose one of my own. Is that seat really worth it? I am currently working on building a brat and it seems to me like its a little thin... Mainly asking, whats it like and do you like it?

I decided not to use it and am going to make my own. Nothing wrong with it, and the padding seemed fine....it was just going to require more work on my bike than I wanted to do. Great quality item though.

How comfortable is it? I'm looking at getting one. Maybe your interested in selling?
