So it turns out searching kz1000 images is about as helpful as asking my wife to do anything. Seem people change parts alot on drag bikes. i have no idea what you got haha when you get a chance could you post a link or a picture to a bike with the correct swingarm
Get a measurement across pivot first, if it's way too wide or narrow it can still be made to fit but I wouldn't do swing arm swaps on XS unless I have to (already done a few with Suzuki swing arms)
Seca is direct swap and twin shock but getting difficult to find at reasonable cost
The common KZ1000 swap is a GS1100E. Twin shock, alloy, only about 1/2" longer than a stock KZ arm and roughly half the weight.
I'll go into the garage and get you an approx pivot width here in a sec...
Approx width 9.7" at pivot. (assembled bike, so not an exact measurement)
here is an example of the same KZ arm i have

9" at the front no washers or seal cups
9" wheel width at axle plates
19-1/2" effective length
I thought about clem's post and decided he was right. so i cut 1 1/2 inches outta the the height of my modded to hell cb400 tank and its perfect. i also managed to get rid of alot of the rust in the tins i was workink with
Its was a tuff decision i stood over a tank with the cut lines drawn out with a running grinder for more than 30 seconds befor i could bring myself to do anything.
now i need color ideas this bike is getting the yamaha film strip on the tank and tail with the tail staying raw carbon but im on the fence about tank color the motor is getting stripped and cleaned up the pipes are getting wrapped up to the first cone sooooo im open to input
Is that riviera green? That's definitely straight out of the 70's. I think that on one Canadian model RD they went with a gold Yamaha stripe which may look cool on there(better than that baby shit yellow one on the green tank)
I vote "Dark midnight blue pearl" No idea who makes the colour but it is awesome. Almost black in the shade but once in the sun it is like a kick to the face of colour.
