New Coils for cb360

Been Around the Block
I've painted my frame, gettin' my wheels back tomorrow, puttin' the motor in and gettin' ready for wires and electrical. Just wondering if these bad boys from mikesxs will work for my cb 360? And if they do, do I need to do anything else, or just put em on plug em in a ride?

Hey there!

I am rocking those MikesXS coils on my CB360 and my sparks are nice and fat!

Sadly you will need some work to get them mounted. The mounting screws do not match up with the holes in the CB360 coil mount. You will need to fab a little bracket out of sheet metal so that they can interface properly. Not too much work if you have a drill and a way to cut sheet metal.

On a cb350 they can be stuffed and tie wrapped under the tank,,tight fit!! you should use XS 650 condensors. This is a good set up,with Yamaha coils you can screw out old coil wires, and twirl in a set of jobber ignition wires,,check impedence, points coils at close to 5 ohm, electronic at or about 2.8-3 ohm

todd,

can you post a pics of your stuffed n' tie wrapped coils? i am thoroughly intrigued! also, why can't i just use the new honda cb350 condensor that i just got with the yammie coils? also, these coils are 4 ohms. is that not gonna be a problem for the honda points burning out?

Last time I had a camera it had 35mm,,,and otto focus(German made) You have to tie wrap the coils in that semi elliptical void behind and below the steering head,,,,,,then push on the tank ;D,,I have this on one lump and will be changed.Lump #2 I have built a tray that hangs below the seat and houses the coils and electronic ignition box..long jobber ignition wire!! and a relocated battery,,,almost forgot ::) use the stock honda condensers,,,if the points fry,,,,,,,,,,,,thay's no goods
