What's up guys, thought I'd post a little teaser of a new product we're going to be releasing very soon. It's a complete tapered top loop that will allow you to take any bike (think late 70's and early 80's) with a drop style seat frame and turn them into gorgeous Cafe Racers...as well as Brats!

That's right, in addition to having the loop available we are going to have our own Brat style seat for those looking to go that route that matches perfectly with the lines of the rear hoop!

The kit will include 1" tubing to make new uprights for the left and ride sides of the frames, a bent section to create gussets near the front, a set of weld-on shock bungs and a cross-brace for support.

This was developed and implemented on the Shadow we did which will be featured on Bike EXIF soon as well as the Rebel 450 we just did at the Lowside Timonium event.

Pricing hasn't been settled yet, but as you know with everything we sell, we're going to keep it in the right place so everyone can afford it.

We're open to any suggestions or comments before the final product is released so consider this your opportunity to help us make any improvements!

[The Bike above is a KZ400]

The possibilities are endless with this kit. Opens up a whole new world of cafeable bikes. This subframe is like the weld on hardtail of the bobber/chopper world. AS far as I know there is no one in the industry offering something like this. Congratulations Dime City. Cutting edge boys!!!
That goes for old man Herm too ;D .

So the piece you are going to be selling is the oval where the seat sits?

Don't need much more than that other than a competent welding buddy..

Hey guys, thanks for the positive responses so far! The kit is going to be a great way to breath new life into just about anything... I love your comment Troy...."like the weld-on hard-tail for Bobbers" too funny!

Correction, it is a 440. Come on though guys, you know we only do Honda's here at Dime City! LOL!

Stay tuned for more details on the kit we should have it on the shelf and available soon.

Are you guys giving that 440 the full treatment? If so color me very excited, I'm a die hard Kawi twin guy :)

Sweet setup guys! Any chance it will be shown at big kahuna in april?

So, you're tellin' me that this here is going to make my 1982 CB450T not look like an ugly and stupid piece of crap? I'm in!

Yes.... ;D

Good stuff. Looking for something like this for my kz750.

Looks long in the picture. I'm guessing you' ll be able to cut to whatever length?

That's using your noggin, going to be a hit for sure. I'll buy one most likely as soon as they are offered up. Perhaps also consider selling the bungs and bits as an independent kit so people can use their own loop?

Finished the KZ440 in about 5 hours total which included extra time making new shock mounts out of 3/16" plate as well as some on the fly engineering changes. I'm guess, that with the complete kit a guy could make the entire change in about 4 hours if he was an experience fabricator and really hustled. For guys doing it in their garages with beer and Cafe Racer TV playing in the background it's probably a weekend project. :)

Should have final pics together in a BLOG post and the kit launched within a week and a half fellas...
