New guy from Iowa- RD400

If only mine were done...getting close! You autox too? I was signed up for the one last week, but it got canceled.
 
I offered to let you ride but your words were " I would be scared to after all the work you put in ".

Also guy with two rd's interested in parting.with one that is in worse condition ? Kinda broke atm but would.love one

I was gonna go to that one too. I think they have another one scheduled for next month, which reminds me that I need to ask off work...

You should at least be the first to ride it. How much and do they run?
 
Yeah, I'd like to go to that one, but I'll be in Vegas that weekend. There's a post up in the cages forum with my ride in it.

I haven't had to do much yet other than dick with getting it running. Broke one of the rod end bearings for the rear sets and trying to find new ones at the moment. I've also been working on a better mount for the gauge and a seat pan. The last owner was really into zip ties.

Yeah I'm not sure I would trust zip ties as a mount for a seat pan haha...

I just got my bike out for the first time yesterday. It's running a little lean but with some slight adjustments over the weekend it should be good to go. Here is a pic for you. It's not as pretty as a lot of guy's on here but I'm happy for only having an underground parking spot to work on it..

to be fair, some of us are really really good looking.
 
Let's say I like keeping Kevin (dsmer06) around to make me look better .....it works .... Last two times we have gone to bars together I have left with phone numbers .... Jk man

Whats going on Iowa guys, I just moved to Omaha from Kansas City, I noticed the National Motorcycle Museum Seems to be pretty large full of classic's. This next season we should meet up somewhere and ride out to Anamosa Ia. and check it out. I hear they have a bike show aswell.
