hi guys
ive been lurking here for some time but never have really introduced myself, my name is phil and i live in portland or. i usually hang out at the sohc4 forum but havent been getting a lot of feed back on my build, lets see what you guys think. ive been working on this for about two years (weekend warrior) but now i am able to see some light at the end of the tunnel
a little about the bike
71 cb750
850 kit
stage 3 ported head
webcam 63a grind
cyclex super rods
under cut tranny
cr29 carbs
balanced and lightened crank
custom oil tank
custom rear sets
stock gas tank stretched 5 inches with knee dents
yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah
 
thanks, the tank and tail are in paint as we speak (black with gold pin stripe) the motor should be a screamer, we'll see
 
Welcome, the bike looks good man! I like the progress. On your forks, I see you don't have boots. Where did you get the dust covers?

Oh, I also like your garage there...looks like you have some room to work in!

thanks, the forks that are on that bike are off of a 1975 cb750f, they came stock with the dust covers but ya, you can also get them from cyclex
ya, i wish that was my shop, its actually my place of employment. about two years ago we were going through some slow times so i asked if i could bring my project bike in to work on when there was nothing to do, i failed to tell them it was going to be a complete tear down and rebuild, they were really cool about it though.

thanks, i run those road riders on my 72 cb750 also, i dont think you can get a better tire for the $$$
