New here, My Run at a zombie bike. 750 Nighthawk

I picked up a 14,000 mile 750 Nighthawk last spring for a project. 05 R6 front end, 76 XS650 tank, made the seat out of a $7 goodwill leather coat, Kenda big block tires, all new lighting. I made the side panel and headlight mount out of perforated stainless. I rusted the tank, side panels & headlight mount and matte cleared them. Just wanted a cool bike to ride when the wife isn’t along.

Re: New here, My Nighthawk 750 project

Damn, knocking the ugly off a nighthawk takes some doing - yours looks great.

Zombie apocalypse? Pfffft.

Lol,
Thanks.

So you took time to customize your bike to look almost exactly like Daryl's bike, and not even mentioned that you were inspired by The Walking Dead. Interesting...

Well, it’s not exactly like it so I didn’t mention it. It was definitely meant to look like that bike though. I took it to work last fall and you would swear a new Lamborghini pulled in, everyone really liked it.

I think that requires person interested a little more in bikes than show itself to notice such slight differences.
Especially females are probably more interested in rider then bike while watching TWD.

Looks good, i really like those side panels.
Would need fenders on it for any riding around here mind you but other than that. Good to see someone that left clearance for the back tire for a change.

Thanks.

Where do they usually get tight for tire clearance?

Awesome job. Love it. Are those the stock rims ?
