hey everyone, this is my 3rd bike(after an 86 vf500 and 84 yamaha XJ bobber), a 76 yami RD 400. Its all stock except some aftermarket expansion chambers and pod filters. Its in the process of getting cleaned, painted, and fixed, should be done by summer. Its getting new shocks, a solo seat, custom airbrushing, bracketless rearsets(custom design by me), and whatever else i can find! More pics to come
Its one of mine, too. Once i get a honda hawk GT and a generic supermoto, my life will be complete. I was searching for a clean RD for almost 2 years before i came across this one on craigslist 5 minutes from my house, super lucky find. I had it in my basement about an hour after it was posted. I got it with the engine seized and missing a ton of parts but its coming together nicely, even runs and goes through gears! Cant wait to get to the real build stuff!
Welcome to DTT! Those RDs are a blast. You can make some crazy power from that 400. Looking forward to seeing what ya' come up with. Where in NJ are you from by the way? I was born in Boonton and grew up in Rockaway before moving to Pa. Still have a bunch of family in the area.

I live on the shore, im from a town called long branch. Famous for eminent domain abuse and our "spanish speaking" population but none the less its home. Lots of good riding in the atlantic highlands, the middletown/lincroft hills, and the back roads of farmingdale and wall township, all close to my house. I have to make a video of some of the roads i frequent!
