Hey there!

I'm a proud new owner of a 1972 Honda CL175. Picked up this nice condition bike for $600 with some spare parts...good enough for me to buy it!

Plans are to get it back in tip top shape and to do some cafe style things...I am such a sucker for it. First thing to do will be clubman or drag bars, then eventually getting a seat going. I'm surprised how tall this bike is to begin with, so a lower seat should help :)

Anyways, here's some pics of it being loaded up on the trailer:

I wish there wasn't any snow outside so I can at least ride it around the block, but there are some things that needs to be addressed first.

Please leave any advice, comments, or whatever else you want to say below. Thanks for looking!

Welcome to DTT. Those 175 are a blast man. You'll love it once you shave a little weight off of her.

+1

You could probably sell any parts off that on ebay to fund what you want to do. Start a build thread and don't hesitate to ask questions.

Welcome Bob, nice to see you posting on the forums I told ya about. And who is that goofy looking guy in the left side of the first picture? haha! ::)

Oh yeah and be sure to make a Big Arse Projects thread here!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

And thanks to krukster for getting me into this mess...

It's icy and snowy outside and there is more snow in the forecast for the Chicagoland area. Once this storm goes through, out goes the Subaru onto the street and into the garage goes the CL175. The Subaru understands.

A build thread is imminent! I'll definitely get one going once I start this adventure.
