My son gave me a 1980 Kawasaki 750Ltd h for Father’s Day a few years ago as a project, he’s got the same exact bike so we’re building together. I don’t know what it’d be classified as so I don’t know where to put my build. I’m just kinda coming up with what I like as I go. So far I’ve lowered the forks 3-1/2” (might swap to a modern fork if I find a deal), stretched the swingarm 2-1/2” and I’m converting it to monoshock. Donor shock came from a Ducati. Swapped out the rear 16” wheel for an 18, sandblasted and painted them and installed some Shinkos. Been playing with different tanks and I’m still dialing in ride height before I fab the upper shock mount.

Thank you, I appreciate that! Especially considering this is my first stab at this.
I had to cut the inside out of this tank (KZ400) to get it to fit and I’ll have to weld something back in if I decide to run it. Regardless of what tank I end up with, I’m going with this factory color scheme/pattern or something based on it. I like that smaller sleeker size of this tank but like the fuel capacity of the 650 tank I stole from my son and had on there.

Welcome. Looks like a hell of a start. Will be interesting to see what you come up with.
