Hi guys and gals,
Long time car nut and bike admirer here.... I've been wanting to pull the trigger on a two-wheeled vehicle for a few years now, and finally got around to it last week.

Plans were to pick up something that needed a little work, wrenches don't scare me, and go for a tasteful cafe look. As it turns out, I stumbled across an excellent original condition 1975 Honda CB500T and plan on leaving it alone, keeping it safe and in good running condition, and just enjoying it.

I came across this bike on Ebay and drove two hours to Pittsburgh to pick it up.

First thing it's getting is a pair of new tires, brakes flushed and inspected, oil change, fresh gas, charging system checked, carbs synced and idle adjusted. After that it's time for some fun! Look forward to learning a lot from all of you as this is my first motorcycle, and can't wait to get out on the back roads.

Here are a few of my other toys....
The Anthracite '76 2002 is actually my wife's. She drives it every day in the summer.

Re: Noob from Akron, OH

Welcome to DTT! Beautiful bike. There's a bunch of us in OH/PA that try and get together when we can. Keep an eye out for the eventual MidOhio Vintage Days thread to pop up. You'll have to meet up with the DTT crew for the weekend.

Re: Noob from Akron, OH

thanks! I've had the pleasure of attending vintage bike days at Mid Ohio a couple of times now, and this year I might actually get to ride down! Once I get some seat time in, I'll be sure to make some events.

Nice bike and it looks like it's all original. We'll have to get together for a ride when it warms up a little more.
