Hey Guys,

I'm new here but not new to the Cafe racer scene. I've always had a soft spot for vintage SOHC 4 Honda's. My first bike was a cb400 4 which I lightly modded and sold 2 years ago.

I picked up the 74 550K about 2 years and it was bone stock. Everything looked well kept and it was a runner. The only downside was that it tipped over in the garage of the previous owner and had some cosmetic damage.

I fixed the cosmetic damage (sourced a period correct tank), did a few light mods and drove it for about a year.

This winter I decided to strip it down and make it my own. I have a final product in my head that essentially a bare bones cafe racer. No flash or anything over the top. Just a gutted, raw, café that will be as reliable and bullet proof as possible within my budget.

I've been luring for a while but figured I'd do a build thread to keep track of progress. You can check it out here.
