Been Around the Block
Hey all, my name is Dan and I am from American Fork, UT. I have been into old Harley chops but just picked up an 81 Yamaha XT500 last summer and am planning on doing a sort of cafe/tracker type bike. I just got done rebuilding the top-end with a Wiseco piston, valve job, R/D springs. I also have put a mikuni vm36 on as well as a pipe from Hoos Racing. I did a 12v conversion too. I am planning on swapping a frontend from an xs750 and a wheel from an xs650 so I have a disc brake. Its a fun little bike and I have been riding it to work pretty much every day. It runs great but the rocker box is a bit noisy so I think I am going to pull it apart in the next couple of weeks and see what is going on. I see that there are some other members here from Utah, i'd like to meet up and do a ride sometime. Here's my bike:
