That's pretty freaky. Looks like a jet-ski with wheels. Wonder what it's like to drive (especially corner). I assume these are still classed a motorcycle and you would need a motorcycle license to drive?

the front nose section is a trunk. from what I have seen the front wheels stay flat and the suspension leans into the corners. as for state of ct it's registered as motorcycle. 15k price tag.

I think that the old-skool 3 wheelers kicked ass, like the this morgan

I do like the modern version, being made in the states (yes... it has a Harley engine... but looks really cool)

Very slick...

I have always had an affection for the british cars my father has a morgan a 65 +4 and one of his good friends John Shelley races these cars he was at limerock back in 88 for vintage race with his 3 wheeler his weight man could not make it I was the right size so I donned the asbestos coat and wrapped my arm around that exhaust best ride of my life.

I have seen those american versions with the harley engines love the look but they run 30K
piaggio the vespa company has a 3 wheel 500cc scooter called the mp3 little more reasonable at 6k.

I would love if BMW brought the c3 scooter into this country with the single seat windshield (with wiper)roof and seatbelt I think it is a 125cc.

there was a spyder at the vintage motorcycle show here in florida last month. i got to sit on it and everything. very very cool. a local dealer... http://www.jacksonvillepowersports.com/ has a few and they brought one out to view. i would have to say its more along the lines of a snow mobile than a jet ski. im sure all of you up north would understand. ive seen one yellow one on the road here in jacksonville, suprisingly it was a younger guy riding around on it.

you guys get the descent weather most of the year down in FL. when I lived in Pompano Beach I use to ride year round. I find it funny that honda dealers did not make a deal to distribute. I think they would have more exposure and would sell better.

Thursday nights in Manchester Ontario, Haugens BBQ Rest. has their Bike Night. I think there are some pictures in the Local meets section from last year.
Last Thurs. there were 750 bikes and over 8 of these Spiders. A dealer was there with 4 of them, and there were another 4 or more that rode in as well. Different colours and wheel combos. I'd like to take one for a test ride.

ya lucky us. of course there are florida downfalls, such as... Humidity, Bugs and Rain that tends to pop out of nowhere without warning. the lady at the booth told me to swing by anytime and take a test ride. maybe on an upcoming weekend ill swing by and go for a spin. im sure ill get tons of looks

I saw one at Walneck's swapmeet at Woodstock. Personally i think they are awesome and could become a large segment of the powersports industry. read somewhere online that H-D has filed patents for some type of three wheeled contraption, could be cool with the V-rod engine. doubt they will do anything with it, though. I think it is cool that the Can-Am name is back. Maybe if the Spyder takes off there will be some new offerings later on.....

I think they're kinda goofy... like the t-rex.

That being said, I'd like to test drive one for sure!

with all these rising gas prices i can see a lot more people concidering alternatives such as this one. even for those not wanting a motorcycle this seems like a great alternative. a little pricy but at the same time your paying for the comfort and ease of riding. all in all its a whole lot better than riding around on a trike! haha

Oh there's no forgetting; they're the ones that keep motorcycle riding in Florida challenging! ::)

atleat they use their signals. its all the lifted trucks that scare me. it doesn't help that there are a lot of sport bikes down here as well, most of which find the streets of jacksonville to be their personal drag/trick strip.
