I love all three of those, but dude, that green one is the bomb! It is so cool!

I love MINIs. I hate that they have that "girl car" or "gay" connotation. When I sold German cars, someone brought one in for trade. It really was a girls car (teenager), and had flower decals all down the side and was a purplish color. All the salesmen laughed at it and teased me for liking Coopers, especially since I sold the high-line German stuff! They revoked my man card! :D Oh, well...

I must be out of the loop... I never knew they were a girl car.

Hey, it was news to me. I also love the Pontiac Solstice, but guess what... I thought it was just the place I live (southern In.) where muscle cars and pick ups rule the road, but I've experienced it on various forums as well. Screw 'em! I love little cars! 8)

Nice - when it comes time to replace my OEM Conti's I may make the jump to 18's. I'll be buying dedicated summer tires at that point (putting Michelin xi2's on 16" MINI 5 spoke rims for winter).

My 2008 Clubman

im a HUGE Mini fan... not too big a fan of the MINIs though...

10" on the Minis is the way to go... along with a sweet 1380cc motor, rally shifter, dropped an inch or so, and a fiberglass shell....

hehe... here come the high g turns ;D ;D

Yeah, maybe one day when I have a sprawling property in the country with barns on it I'll have a Mini. For now, I can barely squeeze my Clubman, one motorcycle and one scooter into my garage (which I'm lucky to have in the city at all). My other 4 bikes are stashed at other locations across the GTA ;) Don't tell my wife.

A true Mini wouldn't work well as a year-round car in Toronto and frankly, I wouldn't want my wife and daughter riding in one all the time. Not safe enough for that.

Can't call a mini a girl car until you've driven a Cooper S... In fact, I've only been a passenger and I'm sold (brother was afraid to let me drive it on the left side of the road).
Chirped the tires going 50mph... Very fun car.

Only problem with my wife's Cooper S is it's so damn fun to drive, we end up getting 24mpg in the thing. I can't see chirping the wheels @ 50mph under acceleration, but definitely laterally. The turn in these cars have is almost violent. Really surprising when you first drive it in anger.

I test drove an S that was being traded in. I loved it though found it a bit twitchy/darty just as I had read in a car mag. Still, an ideal city car. It's considered a "girl car" because of perception, not lack of performance characteristics. I sold German autos and the Boxster was viewed in the same light. Yes, even the Boxster S. So was the SLK and Audi A4. You must understand the testosterone that predominates car dealerships. Euro guys in particular had huge attitudes about which cars were "fitting" to drive and be seen in.
