Hello!! I have always been a huge fan of the Cafe Racer and Brat styles, and always wanted to build one. I finally picked up my first bike, a 1983 Suzuki GS450L, for super cheap. As soon as I found out about my buddy getting rid of the bike, I did a bit of searching and found the ever so awesomely informative GSresources and decided this bike would be an awesome candidate for what I wanted to do (since nobody cares if you chop up a L). From looking around, I have quite a bit of insiration here on DTT with a couple others modding their 450's. Looking forward to the feedback I get from you guys!!

Here is a quick pic of the bike when I first got it. Decently clean (shitty cameraphone pics dont show the flaws), but most importantly IT RUNS!!

Welcome!

Those little GS's are excellent starting points.

Where in NC are you?

Just moved out to Cary/Apex a couple of months ago from Wake Forest/Raleigh but grew up in NJ. Already a member of Do The Ton Triangle on Facebook. They do a lot of rides I have seen on there, and that just gets me even more amped to get the bike back on the road.

I have been away from DTT for a long while and just running back in it. So just seeing your stuff. I also have a 450L '86 as a project and was wondering what yours ended up looking like .... can you forward some pics to me? looking for inspiration.... belkgd@corning.com
