Immunizations--think twice.
Hello everyone! I've been "lurking" for a few days and I'm really liking this site. I'm not typically a forum kinda' guy, but I can tell that I'm going to learn a lot here. I've been hooked on cafe bikes for about ten years now. I've always had a dirtbike in the garage...I think a man needs a dirt bike and road bike to be complete. Anyway, I've had two cafe bikes (KZ 1000 and a Honda CB 400), but I have never attempted to build one myself...until now. I have average mechanical skills (at best) and no fabrication skills, but I am a decent artist and I do make custom stickers...maybe it will at least look good. Here's a few photos of what the bike looked like (I paid $50 and may have been ripped off). There are also a few photos of where I'm at now. Wish me luck!

This is how it looked when I got it home:

I had a "vision" of what this bike should look like and wanted to show case the engine (which does not run) and frame (which needs paint). I decieded to make my own seat and tank:

The tail section is pretty good (I'm going to attempt to put all of the electrical and battery under it). I'm hoping the tank turns out just as well. I do understand the problems of fiberglass and California gas. Trust me...you would not want to see something I tried to weld!
