Newbie in the UK

Hi everyone. I'm Nick, a late starter from Somerset, UK. About this time last year I had a great night out, the latter part was of course a blur. I woke up in the morning to find my laptop still buzzing away and a message from Ebay congratulating me on my purchase and with words which have rung in my ears ever since... "Now pay for it".

This marked the arrival of "Manuel", a rare 2 stroke Honda Amigo from 1975. This was my introduction to 2 wheels and motor. Luckily in the UK if you passed your driving test before a certain date you get a Full Moped entitlement...

Of course... at 30mph and having to help with the pedals on some hills... the novelty of 120mpg would only last so long and this year I have found myself getting a provisional for a 125.

So now I own "Ber'nard" ... a 1977 CG125, A runner but fairly untidy when purchased and over the last couple of months I have gone about making my mark with a little help from Youtube and some informative posts on here. The plan is to enjoy this bike for a while as a cheap commuter and get myself some experience ready for a bike test which will unlock the upper levels of bike ownership.
