Nice purchase. I believe eBay.co.uk will be your best bet. I ran a quick search and there were a decent number of cb550 parts for sale.

Best if luck!

Plans! What are your plans! Check out the forum for inspiration. Browse the build threads. They are invaluable for information. All of them, not just the cb550 build threads. Get a manual and check out the stickies in this forum for first start procedures. Good luck man and welcome to DTT!

Welcome in mate always here for Q&A's aint no guru but ive just done a cb550f into a race rep, your bike looks pretty much all there that's gonna be a good start its always cheaper to polish or paint parts than having to buy then do them up, ive got a few bits n bobs left over if you get stuck. A few tips, get a manual ,get her running before you tear it down, take plenty of pics for reference and for us to have an idea to help, get a good idea what the end result is gonna be and don't be afraid to have a go yourself especially painting parts youll save a fortune good luck mate look forward to updates n pics

Thanks for the welcome lads, i have a basic idea of what way i want to go, the bare look with a mono shock. Hopefully i can pull it off.

Please do about 80 hours of research before you cut or remove anything, if you haven't already.

That would be a killer bike as is with some tasteful updates in suspension, smaller lights all around, maybe a different seat. Could be done easily on a small budget too if that's your aim. Just my .02 of course

How's it run? If it's not well, I'd suggest you focus on that before tearing too far into anything. Number one thing you want is a baseline of performance so you have an idea where to go when you start making changes.

Remember, if it isn't an upgrade, it probably isn't worth doing.
