No title bike help

I'm in Ohio.

So the guy called the title bureau and apparently there was never a title issued on the bike. Anyone have any idea what the next step might be?

If this is the case, just go apply for a title.
If it has never been titled, its like applying for a new title.

I live in South Carolina and just bought a bike bill of sale only, it still had a Sc plate on it from 1987 but no title ,would the best way to go about gettign a title to apply for a tittle from vermont.

Chicken,

I would call the South Carolina DMV first. I heard from a friend that as long as you have property in South Carolina, it is no big deal getting a title with just the bill of sale. I know he was trying to get a CRF250 street legal, but I would hope that for vintage bikes there would be no difference.

Quick update, got the plate and temporary registration in the mail today, should be getting the sticker within a few days.

Question.. So what did you check off for the first box? New plates?

and for the bill of sale did you hand or type one up? or was it an official one from like the DMV?

And what all did you guys pay for plates? The one year motorcycle fee is $41 but I don't understand what to include for the plate fee.

Check new plate, and motorcycle. You will need to contact the DMV for the price of your bike, the tax is 6% of that price, and then you have the extra $41
