Hi mate,

Another Spanish SR here, although mine's going to be sold once it gets through the ITV next month. Just don't have the time/place for messing around with it, so figure it's better to let it go to a new home.

Do you speak/read Spanish? If so the guys on http://foroyamahasr.foroactivo.net/ are a nice helpful bunch and there are some great resources for all things SR250 on there to download, manuals/how-to's etc

Looks pretty good for 100 bucks, I've had 3 of them and they are awesome. It is currently my wife's ride

Yeps.. gonna be for my Gf... the threat of having no hot dinners or the "other" .. is gonna keep me motivated ;)

So it's safe to assume that safe and easy operation are ahead of cafe race coolness in this build? No? You mentioned full on cafe and you also mentioned GF and hot dinners and so on.

If she doesn't have a lot of street experience, maybe flat or superbike bars, a cool seat, maybe a sweptback style pipe - think RYCA copy of a GoldStar BSA, Goldie type muffler perhaps and a good paint job, plus tidy up the broken bits and it would make a neat little scoot that's easy to ride.

What are your plans for it though? Please start a Project thread for it. It's always good to see other ideas from around the world.

really trying to keep this little bike clean and stripped... Gf's has got bike experience (we rode across india last year in a mega race on tuk tuks enfields and scooters.. we dint win :( see below (thats us at the far left.. me keeping an eye out for runaway trucks, and mad cows)

she really likes the deus ex machina styling..

with some clubman bars and a flatter seat.. , single speedo, led warining lioghts, kickstart with hidden starter under the seat, maybe get the engine sleeved to squeeze another 5 horses out..

the ideas are endless...

will start a project thread asap!

Finally moved the bike off the boat yard (the powers that be are throwing all the little boats off the yard to make way for super yachts!).

now storing the bike at a mates garage.. moving house too so the projet cant start til next monnth.

but having reviewed the bike we're going for more of a tracker/brat look... will start a build thread asap.
