BOTM is open to any and all. Ultimately the voting decides so I don't care if someone nominates a basket case 1971 Motobecane moped with missing spokes and tassles on the grips.
 
i agree. access to the right machines is nice and when someone can get to them and use them more power to them!
 
i must say though, many of the builds done by "amateurs" are pretty damn professional lookin. just sayin

Oh totally. Just throwin' it out there. Seems like this site is getting more popular by the day. The BOTMs are already going on to be featured on tons of blogs and stuff it's amazing to see it become a real award!
 
Frankly even if a home built isn't as pro as a shop build, that by no means limits it's appeal around here. I have voted for builds that obviously weren't pro because I knew what went into it. If the pro is the best total package than props to him, and same to the home build. As long as someone got greasy, and a ride was born, I'm happy.

I like hot bikes, period, end of story.

Could you link us to a thread that shows some of the processes you went though in the building or at least tell us about the bike and build of it?

It does look great though, and I look forward to learning more about the build! That tank looks killer!

they are all specials... doesnt matter who built em. those of us without gobs of cash just get a little more enjoyment out of them. anyone could throw the checkbook at one. but where would the fun be in that???
