OEM Rear Shocks - Lost Oil on Disassembly

Been Around the Block
I have an 83 Suzuki GS650 with OEM Showa adjustable shocks. I disassembled them to paint the body black, however on removing the top mount on the end of the dampening rod (which contains the adjuster mechanism) the adjuster popped out along with oozing oil (see picture).

I was trying to find this information online, but I'm wondering if I can drain and refill the oil. If so, with what oil, and how much do I put in?

Thanks!

Well damn. I got the shocks all painted up, and even welded up a spring compressor just so I could disassemble/reassemble them. But thinking about it now, when testing them out there was almost no compression dampening, just all rebound dampening. Not sure how these were valved from the factory, but I assume they are probably shot. I guess I'll dump some money on some new rear shocks.

It's amazing how hard it is to find information about this online. I might just end up dropping $200 on a set of Hagons, but it would be nice to salvage these.
