I started on mocking up the seat section for my Zuki this past week. So far I have tried a round tail and then a slightly squared tail. Would like to get some opinions on which might work better with the tank on the bike. Anyway here are the pics.
Round tail
Squared tail
As mentioned I welcome opinions before I start doing fiberglass work.
I like the squared tail, but with a little more downward slope to the top. Make it follow the lines of the tank a little bit more. Nice work on the mock ups though!!
Thanks for the input I appreciate it. I've got enough material to do more full mock ups so I will work on the slope. Wanted to keep enough room in it to put the battery and as much of the electronics as possible under the tail.

i agree with what was already said. also, it seems to me that these seats come out a bit larger once they are made of fiberglass. maybe just take an eighth or quarter inch off of the whole thing. just my .02 check out some other fiberglass seat builds maybe you will see what i see. great foam work
Thanks for all of the comments and ideas guys. I am working on a second mock up now that's a little more like the tank. I will try to post pics of it as soon as I can.
I would have to agree with the others as well. The squared that followed the tank lines would be really sharp on that ride. Can't wait to see your second mock up

Well I started smoothing out the second plug with bondo to prep it so I would be able have slick mold. The bondo started out well but then as it cured it started to make the foam shrink. I've stepped away from it for a little while instead of adjusting it with a hammer. LOL. Trying to decide if I'm just going to go with the Interceptor seat from Roc City or give making my own another shot. In the mean time I've been trimming tabs from the frame that will not be used to clean the lines up before it gets painted. If anyone has opinions on the Roc City seat let me know. I think the blunt end on it will work with the tank on my bike.
