Ouch?

All I can say is that sucks! This needs to be moved to somewhere where more people will read it other than the cages section and made into a sticky. Maybe save a noob from doing the same thing. Thanks for posting and thanks goes to the poor sole for taking time to grab pictures.

The first time I ever cleaned the chain on my 450, I was wiping the chain while spinning the wheel by hand and caught my thumb between the chain and rear sprocket. Thank heavens I wasn't dumb enough to do it with the motor running and in gear! I remember how much that hurt, and the big chunk on skin I lost.

one of the first replies:

Holy shit. You are one dumb fucker!

terrible, but I literally laughed out loud. He had one or two other good one liners later. That really sucks though. Everyone has done some stupid unsafe stuff, it just so happens that mostly we walk away from it without having to "learn the hard way."

im more shocked at how the guy handled it all then anything else...

i mean, if it werent for forums and the internet, no one would have the same thought process as this guy.

clean chain...

HOLY SHIT MY FINGERSSS AGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

*calls ambulance*

*waits*

Shit the guys on the forum would want to see this
*takes pictures*

*continues waiting*

i'd do the same. it's not like he didn't realise how idiotic he was... it's a brutal, conceding honesty.
if only one other person who sees that then goes onto cleaning their chain, remembers what happens if you do it wrong, then posting it was worth it.
kudos to him i say. least he didn't try to sue the bike manufacturer.

This just reminded me......

......how stupid some people are!

People like this is why I have to sit through dumb ass safety meetings every three months and I work behind a computer for the majority of my time!

Why would any person ever think.....hmmm....the best way to clean my chain would be to jack up the back tire and run the motor in gear.....and I will just hold the rag in place and let the engine do the work......I am a genius.....those knurly ass gears and heavy chain could never hurt me if I hold the rag tight enough!

What a fucking dumb ass! I hope he is not breeding! But I am sure he has four illegitimate kids with three different women and one of them has been on a reality TV show!

who would think about cleaning their chain while the motor is on and in gear. what the hell. i read a bit into the thread the guy has to feel jacked up becuase that little thing could ruining his riding. i have seen my friends dad get the tip of his index finger sliced off by a 350 motor on an el co he was working on. it was bad

my friends dads thumb was blown of by a overfilled tractor innertube that popped.

Im so scared to pump up even my bike tires now. I always "look" away at least

Oh shit....well, in all fairness, he was riding a gixxer and imo gixxer shows inexperience just buying a fast bike.
