Pa Ohio and Nearby....

I'm probably going to go on the Sunday for the show. It's not really big, but it's okay. I think they make it sound bigger than it really is, but that's just my opinion.

It's near Jefferson, PA, which is near Lancaster, which is not near Pittsburgh.

if it's worth the five and a half hour drive, i might be up for going saturday the 15th

Not worth a 5.5 hour drive, in my opinion. I tried to make a weekend out of it a few years ago, and I only live 1.5 hours away from it. After all, they advertise the event as 'the biggest vintage Japanese show on the East Coast', and 'people from all over the world attend' blah blah blah. So, I got a room at the nearby Hampton Inn for a night, and was really looking forward to making the most out of it. Well, I was done going through the swap meet in about two hours on the Saturday, and I was left twiddling my thumbs until the Sunday show. The Sunday show (which I've been in three times) is perfectly fine -- about 70-75 bikes are usually in the show -- but you show up at 9-10am to put your bike in the show, and then you wait and wait and wait until about 2:30 when they announce the awards. I suppose that's the way it normally goes in these bike shows, but it can get to be a bit much just standing around and waiting. I mean, the swap meet portion is basically over, you've looked at all the bikes in the show four or five times, you've had 6 cups of coffee, a donut and a hamburger, and there's nowhere to go because the event is out in the country.

I think the event could be more interesting if they organized some kind of rides (particularly due to the location and the surrounding roads), or something additional that enabled people to make a weekend out of it.

Who knows, maybe it's just me!
