Pacific Northwest ton up terrors

"Ton Up" pacific NW style
This forum was started to support the cafe racer culture and get more people involved in the fun that we have in the greater seattle area!

I'm gonna start by introducing myself to everyone, I'm Jesse DeBortole.

for along time i have loved the vintage cafe racer and streetfighter scene, i really jumped into it in the last year and my current ride is a 1976 Yamaha XS360 (below)

it is a constant project like most cafe bikes, im really into the rat-rod/garage built look.

If you are in the Pacific NW and are looking to join a club contact me on here
and we can talk, i dont diss anyones ride or there style so dont worry about being left out like other clubs will do.

Yeah! thanks man! I have always loved the up-sweep pipes on road racers so i wanted to try an make it look like something alike. i also wrapped the pipes (exhaust wrap is alot of up keep) check out my buddys shop in south seattle www.twinlinemotorcycles.com he exclusivly builds and works on cafe racers and any japanese and euro bike pre 1979. My bike came together with lots of help from Ian & Isaac @ twinline motorcycles.

Re: Welcome all to the NEW Pacific NW chapter of "Ton Up TERROR"!

those are cool pipes you get water in those things when it rains?

I thought my pipes were upswept.

glad to see the tonup growing.

I dont ride my bike when it down pours and the pipe aren't at enough of an angle to really collect to much water anyway.

but the exhaust wrap gets wet and steams like none other! but the wrap also almost glues itself to the pipes when the water steams off so its good and bad... what we will give up for good looks.

funny you mention a ton up rally, i have been planning a show & shine for a while, it should be held during the month of may sometime.

Re: Welcome all to the NEW Pacific NW chapter of "Ton Up TERROR"!

We should try to make a day when it's nice all round the countries so we could have an organized 5 plus city show and shine.
west coast east coast ohio chicago and toranto. I am sure we could get uk to do something as well.
keep up the good work

i must say that those pipes did come out pretty well considering we didnt have a measuring tape and im pretty sure we were drinking....nothing like welding while drunk. good time... thats probably why we need to we re-weld them this weekend.

let me explain "BATESY" to everyone... well no we can leave that for another time. but this man and myself fit a fully assembled 1980 Yamaha XS400 into a 1976 VW Bus... and the door shut! talent, pure talent....

hell yeah, I'm down south in the puyallup/tacoma area. Need to do a little work to my ride before I'm dodging cars on the 5 or anything, but I'm gonna keep an eye on things and get in touch once she's ready! Here is my bike as she was bought!

SWEET RIDE MAN! no need to do any work on it yet, if your not mechanicly inclined you should bust up to renton on a saturday and we can throw some clubmans on ur ride. thats cafe enough for me. anywayzzz jump on pacific hwy. and head north to tukwila then due east to renton. its an easy ride. most of us dont rid ethe freeway anyway, what fun is the freeway on a cafe bike? :)

glad to see more people interested in our club!
