Painting Another Helmet (Finished Video)

Well I finished the second helmet and it was a nightmare! Originally this helmet had lots of graphics on it and I don't think I sanded some of them off well enough so when I pulled off some off my mask it pulled off some of my paint and the original paint
It meant I had to sand down some areas and repaint them. It turned out ok in the end but I will be starting with new basic white helmets from now on. The color in the video is off, the orange is way brighter, almost like a pearlized KTM orange. Also I have not buffed the clear coat yet.

Just wondering What type of paint did you use?
Createx acrylic. Spraymax 2k clear for the finish.
I can actually still buy it at my local auto paint store in CA which is surprising!

So I have just boughtva Shoie GTvAir ll.
Its a matt finish and I want it gloss Is 2pk clear an option then.

Depending on how matt it is. Water borne is pretty matt when spayed, but the Spraymax Glamor Clear made it really nice and shiny. If it is mat so much that it has a texture, you should wet sand it flat first.
My helmets are not totally matt before I clear them I would say more of a satin to semi gloss so not sure if spraying over matt would come out full gloss but, I would expect it to. When I use the spraymax 2k glamor I usually lay down a light first coat then let it get just beyond tacky and do a full on heavy coat followed by two more heavy coats again leaving it to get tacky between coats. You should be able to do this with one can. I find you can apply it heavier than you would think but there is a fine line of course as you don't want any sagging.
