Pamco ignition + kickstart

Anyone running electronic ignition? Specifically the Pamco unit with E-advancer?

Have you found that it is damn near impossible to kick start the bike when engine is cold?

I’m thinking the kickstarter just doesn’t crank out enough juice when the Pamco is installed?

Anyone else experiencing this?

Do you have a battery fitted or just a capacitor (Battery eliminator). If you have a battery you should be good to go, but if you are trying to start it wioth just a capacitor, it's unlikely that the alternator will generate enough current at such low revs. Even a small battery should be sufficient.

Didn't you ask this over at SOHC4? If you have a 550 with E-advancer, that's the problem. Pamco never made an E-Advancer for the SOHC4.

MikesXS sells the "Pamco" ignition under their name with E-Advancer for the XS, don't know of any other version with the E-Advancer. Dyna 2000 is the only one I know of.
