Peotone bike swap meet oct. 2nd?

im about 15 mins north of peotone. ive never been to this swap meet. has anyone been there?? is it worth the time??
p.s. anyone good with re-building cl 350s???? the motor that is. im about to take mine out to the range and blast it away.
 
If you go, post an update. I've never been, and it is about an hour from me. I wouldn't do it unless I knew ahead of time that it is worthwhile. I've been to the one in Channohan one, it was 99% Harley stuff. So it was of little interest to me. I'd go back though, because it is relatively close. I have a CB350.

yea im planning on going so i will forsure post a response on the outcome of the show. im thinking its going to be alot of harley parts too but ya never know
 
Im going for sure, il be there on my kz750 twin. I went one time, and while there is a lot of harley parts there is a crap load of stuff for are bikes.
 
There's a Walneck swap meet the week after in Morris, and then on Dec 18th in St. Charles. Those at least say that there will be Japanese and British/Euro bikes there. I've never been to the Paragon show before.... I think I want to try and get out there, but my in-laws are in town that weekend. Might be a hard sell for my wife.

The St. Charles one sounds great. I get out that way every so often anyhow, I have family there. Have you been to a wintertime swap before? I'm just curious how that goes. I assume it is inside the building. But I wonder how the vender turnout is, a week before Christmas?

I haven't, but I imagine that it's probably a good time to get a deal. A lot of folks also work on their bikes over the winter, so hopefully it will be more builder-centric than rider-centric. I'm definitely going, even if it's not a big event. I certainly won't be out riding that day...
 
J&p cycles will be there, so its prolly going to be a good size, I'm going, its an hour and a half from wheeling. I went to walnecks swap meet in mchenry a month or so a, it was great!
 
Every time a swap meet comes up, I invariably find that I don't have two pennies to rub together. I keep telling my wife that the kids shouldn't need to eat EVERY week... LOL... OH well... Seems like none of us are going to there this time.

the one in Dec is a good one to make. my bro and i hit it every year... lot of old men with hd parts they think are worth 100000's of dollars but then again lots of guys there to help people build bikes too... i have a great time talking to peopel there
 
hmm do you guys have a site with the schedule and location of these meets? I'd like to go to learn some new stuff..
 
we should meet up my bro and i go every year then go out for bloody marrys and a few beers with friend s in town
