lol, the English language is a beautiful thing.
OK, last post and case-in-point, my 2008 Thruxton; I have modified, polished, customized, changed, purchased, installed, cleaned, painted, altered, removed, replaced, and refurbished more on this bike than many of the 'builds' I have seen posted here. Did I build it? Hell no. Did I enjoy every last minute of it? Hell yes. Was I ever questioning the joy or satisfaction of the hobby? Hell no.
Until I hand craft every bit and bolly (new word, just built it, use it as you like) of a bike, I will refer to the above and all others as a 'project.'
I think Happy Gilmore said it best, "Gold jacket, green jacket, who gives a shit."
Ride safe, 'build' safer.
