Philadelphia area riders

Been Around the Block
Anybody on here from the Philly area? I live just outside the northeast on the edge of Bucks County. It'd be cool to meet up and ride with some other members once the weather's right.

You're both not far from me. I can't wait for all of this snow to be over and done with so I can get back to riding.

For all you Philly area riders, every Tuesday is "Two Wheel Tuesday" at Abbaye Restaurant. Lots of vintage bikes, cafe racers, and machines you don't often see. It's not your usual bunch of Harley bike night foot draggers. Food is fantastic, and they have a great selection of excellent beer on tap.

Just two blocks off of Spring Garden St at Third and Fairmont.

I miss that joint. Lived in philly for 7 years and i was just back in town last week.had to hit peasanos on girard

Way better bike scene in philly than boston.

I went to Paesanos once, the sandwich was amazing and loaded with long hots, it's a nice little hole in the wall type of place. Small space, big sandwiches.

I'm gonna have to check that place out.
Philly has lots of famous sandwich joints. One of my favorites is Shanks Roast Beef. Love me a hand carved roast beef with sauteed spinach and long hots, the bread basted with pan juices.

Damn! Now I'm hungry. Have to go home and make dinner!

Shanks is no longer at 10th & Carpenter. Shank died a few years ago, and Evelyn retired. They now have a location on 15th St near City Hall, and one on Columbus, Blvd. (What used to be called Delaware Ave,) down in the pier area. I liked their little hole in the wall location on 10th St better. It just felt more authentic.

Years ago I was doing a renovation job just around the corner on Carpenter. I ate there every day.

if you find yourself down there again, and like hot pot hit up international smokeless BBQ on 6th and washington in that shopping plaza.

damn i miss philly sometimes haha

There is lots of great food here, fer shure.

New place in Fishtown.

Hey vuuduu2. I live near Riegelsville and my in laws are in Shimerville so you are not far from me. I ride a '78 Bonneville. Would be great to have someone with brit iron to ride with. I moved recently from Northern Liberties and have not found anyone with similar bikes to ride with just my neighbor and his Harleys lol!

Sounds great. I'm like 3 miles from shimmersville. You should come out to the Modern Classics bike show in Boyertown on the 2nd it's at Martin motorsports I just dropped my Commando off there tonight. Pm me when the weather gets better

Sounds good vuuduu21. I will try to make it to the show. Looking forward to warmer weather and less gravel on the roads. I enjoy the roads near me along the river or the roads near you leading into Berks county.
