Ha, my 250lbs sucks more hp than the tires do, but it still gets along alright, and really does float along in the loamy Ohio mud well enough. It's really a riot to ride around.

1978 XS400 start. The bad; bad clutch, dirty carbs, gas in oil, battery dead, not running. The good; custom seat cover ;-), new tires and clean title.



Almost finished. Waiting on tank decals for tank. Things fabbed; front fender and mounts, bars, tank, side covers, seat pan, seat cover, stainless mufflers, replace tail light with CBR600 lamp. Frame is gloss black, tins candy red over brushed aluminum, rims metallic gold.

Yeah yeah I know it's not that custom but I'm still proud of it and there are lots of subtle mods...

My 81 CM400 I bought out of the back of a salvage, The engine was seized,so I picked up a 82 450. All steel and I built all the parts i needed to put it together. All that was purchased was,tires,gaskets, and material for building.

Old thread I know but that gear lever idea is genius!!!
