Pics of Newer Style Swingarms on Classic Bikes

Hey guys

I've searched around and haven't been able to come up with any pictures of classic Japanese bikes with new style swingarms (not just the boxy 2000ish sport bike swingarms, the 2008+ spaceship looking ones.)
I've got my CB350F torn down to the frame right now and have amassed some new sport bikes parts that I am thinking about putting on, but I'm not exactly sure the look will work. Just hoping someone has some pics out there. Thanks in advance guys.

Heres the inspiration for my next build.

Cool thanks for the pic notlob. A 900 is a much bigger bike than my little 350, but the parts were cheap enough so I think I'm going to go ahead with the build. Should be interesting to try and get it back together before riding season starts, wish me luck!

Good luck with it.

The biggest problem with putting modern wide swingarms on something like a CB350 is extending the chain line far enough out from the output shaft.

Here's a nice one - done with FZR400 gear, I believe:

plus most of the nice fancy swingarms are on inline 4s so are much wider and need a fair bit of machining. Usually the only way around the chain issues is getting custom offset sprockets made.

Ya I'll need to get a custom front sprocket and a spacer made for the rear sprocket because the swingarm carries a 5.5" wheel. The stock 350 wheel looks awfully silly in there so I'm getting a rim and spokes from buchanan to beef it up a bit.

Here is my 76 GT750 smoker with a 02 GSXR braced swingarm and Busa front end. I have a custom offset front sprocket to fit the six inch rear wheel. Also welded up shock mounts.

update us with pics when you get it going....build thread or something??

Found some interesting wheels that I want to run so I've gone with Harley swingarm/brakes etc to make the my life easier, if that makes sense. Just finished at the machine shop but the pivot point clearance is a bit tight so I've got to finish it off by hand.
I'll make a build thread once it's further along, right now I'm still trying to figure out what I'm doing, but here's a teaser from when I pieced the thing together in the back of my truck and took it to a local vintage Japanese car/bike meet.
