ride it like you stole it
mac 4-4 headers arrived today, so now i can start putting the system together for the cb550f with the 4-2 mufflers.
issue however, friggin headers are the same diameter as the pipes on the mufflers. was thinking of stretching the pipes on the mufflers but that'll blast the chrome...so now wtf do i do?
ideas anyone?

simple.. Just take one headder and one pipe to CDN Tire and get an adaptor.
$4.00 each..

and a roll of 'tennessee chrome' to wrap around them so they shine like the pipes too ;-)
yeesh, so simple... guess i shoulda started drinking earlier huh.

LOL!!!.. Dont worry bro... I got yer back!!.. LOL!!

A good muffler shop might be able to notch the ends of the headers and reduce their size to fit inside the mufflers. This way the modified parts are hidden.

Additionally notching the mufflers and then clamping down with nice looking chrome clamps on the headers inside will ensure a good seal.

If it was Noel, he'd be buying the foil tape used to seal duct work and just but the ends of the pipes together and band-aid it.

Or, he'd line the pipes up, rattlecan everything black and let whatever exhaust leaks out keep his feet warm :D

Oh and of course test fit everything before you cut stuff up. Those mufflers look like they're designed to work with stock headers, and those headers don't resembler the stock units. Do things line up? The headers look long.
