Just got an email from a guy with a 70s era suzuki t250 in decent shape. Its missing the lights and has trail tires on it, but its virtually rust free and he only wants 75 bucks for it. Besides the no title issue, which i think i can get around, i have NO idea what kind of bike im dealing with here. Itll be built for my buddy whos only 5'6" and 140 lbs so the size is right, just dont know anything about the bike. Anyone ever had one, or know where i can get some info? Thanks....

ya.... i may have to steal it from him. its a pretty cool bike, and for $75 bucks why not right?!

Here's a good place to start. The only hesitation I would have would be parts availability.... The T series might be harder to get stuff for, but shoot, for 75 bucks, I'll buy it! I've been lookin' for one like this myself. Good luck with your rebuild. They are pretty little smokers.

Man, whn irains it pours... just got a phone call about an 85 ninja 900. new paint, tires, etc.... only 300 bucks. Motors seized though.

I had an 85 ninja9 - what a great bike! Smooth, powerful, faired for comfort!

Would pull an indicated 240kph.

Had to bend the mirror spring plates because the mirrors would fold in after at speeds above 180.

FYI the motor is not hard to work on even with 16 valves.

so we picked up the t250. 75 BUCKS! runs, but its missing the handle bars, which would be replaced anyway, and the wiring is screwed... Anyway, its pretty badass. My buddy is building it with my help. Together with my cb500k its the start of a custom vintage bike shop we hope to open in the future..... That said, he should be joining the forum soon, so keep an eye out for a build thread. Ill throw up some pics of it soon, as well as new build pics of my bike now that my laptop is fixed and i got a new camera. Also, i need a bottle of tank sealer if anyoone has somethin floating around..... Already cleaned my tank, just need a sealer, and i can only find kits. Dont need the rest, just the sealer. Thanks....

oh ya..... the ninja went to another friend. 300 bucks, completely rebuilt, and repainted..... the "seized" motor, was just a motor with no oil in it.... oiled up and primed, she fires!
