Post a pic of your latest purchase

I know I'm gonna catch some grief over this, but here goes:

My wife was completely against motorcycles for the longest time. Said the usual things: unsafe, not practical, etc, etc.. So when she asked about getting a scooter, I got excited that we may share some 2 wheeled time. I told her we could look for a 1970 Vespa or something but she wanted a "new" scooter. So that's that......50cc's, pastel pink plastic, top speed of 31 mph, whatever.

As most of us know- when the wife is happy, everybody is happy.

Hmmm... If only someone had another pic of that scooter. From a different angle. With a certain "someone" sitting on it... Muwahaha!

Aw c'mon! It's not like I had the pink helmet on! Wait til the little GTG on the 23rd. I would bet there will be plenty of pics of people on it.......

Who said motorcycles are safe? Kidding.

Being that it's her first bike, she is worried about it "getting away from her". Once she gets more comfortable with the engine, there's no doubt in my mind she will want to upgrade. Aftermarket parts can be found or a larger motor should bolt right in. And the vast majority of the time on this bike will be in a parking lot or on back roads around the house.

That's awesome, man. Great to hear that she is going to be rolling on two wheels.

Oh, and nice score on the welders, sir. My bro-in-law took his Mig back, so I am in the hunt for one now.

ZOOM ZOOM FELLAS!!!! WHOOO-HOOOO!!!! LETS HIT THE DISCO!!!!

Hahaha... Only kidding of course. If it was my wifes Id have to ride it a couple times for shits and giggles too. She ready to hop that little bastard up yet?

Hey Rich, glad you got her on 2 wheels. I can't talk my wife into trying, but she does like to ride with me anytime we can so that is enough for now. There are very simple ways to de-restrict that motor and get at least 45-50 mph. They come with restrictions and dependinig on the model it can be as easy as removing a stop to allow the CVT to go all the way open. Check with DJElliot he has got scooter knowledge and buddies in the business. No matter what you do I don't think you can make it scary fast ;D You can just make it work a bit better.

Rat bastard.........I was just showing her the throttle, I swear! Hahaha!

Maritime: she said I'm not allowed to mod it at all. So I'm gonna wait to go nuts on it. I have been doing a little bit of research already, but definitely would talk to DJ first.

With gas to almost $4.00 per gallon my wife keeps saying she is going to start riding my Royal Enfield which gets 90-100 mpg. She tried to start it once and could not even push down the kickstarter..... I think she is delusional......

Thanks Justin...I have been on the hunt for a good deal on a welder for a while now. Now I just need to get some more scrap pieces of metal from work so I can weld up my frame jig.

Everytime I see a scooter I giggle like a schoolgirl inside... ;)

But seriously, if for whatever reason I came upon one, it would be modded to heck and back.
