I dont think i would do too much to it, get it running, clean it up, and have a cool, little, old bike to have (slow) fun with

Nice little bike there!, I love the stamped sheet metal frame.

Ive been thinking about using a 1000 Turbo Arctic Cat engine in a bike myself.

Looks good. With a bit of mild porting, some basic headwork, advanced spark timing and a custom expansion chamber you should have a bit more than 6hp! Go all out on it, it'd be an awesome project.

Cheers - boingk

for the price...I will probably do a little bit of work on it eventually.

first i need to pick it up!!!

next weekend :)

I love that we have people here who take what many folks would regard as "landfill", and create something special. 8)

Go nuts my friend! ;D ;D

Seized is a reletive term ;D
Is it just that it won't kick over, or did you look into the cylinder and see it scarred up?

And there are companies that will reline your old brake shoes. Might be an alternative ;)

You can also try checking with the guys over at www.2strokeworld.com. Lotsa good people over there with lotsa info :)

cool thanks for the info!

he said he put "de-rust moosepiss" in it

and i was thinking if i had to, i could get wheels from a little honda to have brakes!

Moosepiss... lol

My little DS7 was "soft seized" when I got it, from sitting up for a couple of decades. I poured a few ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil in each cylinder and let it sit overnight. I then shifted it into 1st and just rocked it back and forth (against the resistance) until it broke loose. Might be worth a shot.

yeah, I am thinking I will have to do that!

just want to get her home, but she isn't coming home yet....going to have to sit in my storage unit for a while, my girl has a ninja 250 that Will be taking up residence in the dining room after the 550 is done lol

Cool! Love the little old 2 strokes!! I've got a '68 benelli 125 waiting for me to do something with it.
