I have not used them but here is some information I have picked up along the way:
Progressive part number: 11-1115 works for the KZ400s though it is listed as fitting the 1981 Suzuki GS550 (and maybe other models/years).
Ah, looked it up and it wasn't here it was from DTT:

Here are the specs for those springs from the Progessive site:

O.D. - In. 0.86
O.D. - MM. 22

Spacer n/a
According to a post on the KZ400 forums a Progressive rep said that the 11-1109 part number are the ones to use for the KZ440:
Here are the specs for the 11-1109:
Order No.11-1109
Free Length - In. 19.75
Free Length - MM 502
O.D. - In. 0.86
O.D. - MM. 22
Rates lbs/in 35/45
Rates kg/mm .63/.80
Spacer 0.62
BTW, the 11-1109 springs are also listed as applicable for 78-82 CX500 and 77-83 GS 400/425/450.
Seem to be fairly close. Only difference seems to be the spring rate (the one for the 440 being a little heavier) and the use of the spacer. Those were the only two that I found in their list that had the 22mm OD.
