do a lot, say a little
Im sorry I have only posted on this Forum once before with a question. I am not very good at keeping up on forums, but! I have been busy and finished the bike ;D . everything on this bike is what I felt was right for myself to ride. but I cant lie, I am stoked to grab the respect from a couple different magazines. these are some of the photos that will be in Iron and Air, and a new Australian Magazine called Tank Moto. I am building another one and will do my BEST to post updates and more info on it very soon. I hope you guys like it! let me know if you have any questions, there are some pretty odd stuff on this bike. ;)

Looks awesome. I just say the first bit of the build early on and was wondering how it turned out. Bravo

Tank came out really great - and I got a kick out of the picture with the dude holding the lamp. Congrats.

thanks guys, I didn't do a build thread. I will definitely do one for this CB450 I just started. ;D

Awesome, I was just admiring this in Iron & Air this morning! Great build, beautiful color. Well written article, too, much enjoyed. Is the bike in Texas?

the headlight was the most random find. went to go pick up that old Harley headlight and on the shelf someone ordered that aftermarket light (and never picked it up) that fit and was the perfect color! so it fallowed us home :)
I live in Dallas Texas. so yes this is a Texas bike! im glad you like the article, I cant wait to see the Tank Moto magazine now!

I saw this first thing this a.m. and had to walk away for the day.... It is overwhelming, done very well and attention to detail is very good. Like the color, always love the steel panels (my dream bike is a black bomber), and the headlight is awesome. A really nice bike... I've always said if a I can't ride, I'd have a Ducati in the living room just to look at, This bike would be in my entry way. Great looking effort.

I live in Melbourne so was reading about this in Tank Moto Magazine just this morning, great article, interesting life story so far and your Dad sounds very cool. I just got my first Ducati(an 848 Corse SE) 9 months ago, so I'm digging the Ducati connection.

I have some questions. Why did you go with the unusual monoshock conversion, and was it a pain to design, fabricate and fit? How does the bike handle? Is there anything you would have done differently, if you were doing it again? You did some performance mods, are you happy with them, and do they adversely affect riding around town? Do you think they will impact on reliability?

texas gals are the most beautiful...congrats on the article and don't you just love serendipitous finds? Would love to see her at our local DTT in DFW.

thank you guys for the kind words :)
I saw a bike with a mono and loved how it cleaned up the bike. he ended up not being able to use it because the geometry did not work with his weight. I thought, sense I was lighter, it might work. My dad had some new Hagon shocks that he did not use, so we used both of them side by side to see if that would be stiff enough. first time we mounted it from the swing arm to the back of the seat... did not work. my dad had some airplane grate steel that was bent and used as a pivot for the shocks and using a Ducati ride height adjuster to change the angle. it worked that time haha. I love the front end and how well it works with the rear. I honestly didn't think it would feel so great. this bike took well over a year to get together so everything I chose to do was for my taste and don't have any regrets, I figure on down the rode if there is something I do not like, I can change. the only performance mods I did was a hotter cam and an electric ignition. I wanted the bike to be reliable and comfortable. all I did was rebuild the motor back to spec. I use it to bomb around town on so I knew I didn't need much power. its definitely not a highway bike! thank you for the good questions, let me know if you have more!
