"Stay Thirsty my Friends"
Ok so I have been meaning to put this up for a long time, but I just haven't had a chance... so many things changing in my life, but I got a chance to throw something together today.

So here she is, in all of her glory, a fairly unmolested 1972 Honda CB 350, title in hand, current registration, and running well with 23k original miles on CraigsList for $750. the purchase is a long story, but i got a great deal and was pretty happy with the condition.

She runs pretty great considering the millage, little hiccups, but should be alright. No real leaks, and not much rust for being a bike that has spent most of it's life on the coast.

Check some of the rust

So then a month ago or so i got really wasted one night and lost the keys, so after a quick call to the boys over a DCC, a package arrived.

Then it was super nice yesterday so i went for a ride and took a few photos...

Anyway, I really want to start my build, but I use this thing almost daily, so I really hate tearing into it... but I have some CL pipes going on as well as some other suspension mods... and my own seat design that I am keeping on the down low to keep my idea fresh. Basically the theme will be a little cafe/bob job with a lot of bit of SoCal flavoring.

A little teaser for the direction

Aha! This is the bike that all the whispers and murmurs are about.......

Can't wait to see what you do with it!

hahaha, yup rich, thar she be... I am actually going to paint the pipes tomorrow, and then they are getting wrapped. Hopefully I can get the crabs sorted out without a ton of drama, but who am I kidding, that is almost never the case!

Yeah Bell 500... not bad, still has a little bubble head thing going on, but very low profile for a DOT 3/4 lid. I hear the Rockhard ones are a little more low profile. All in all a decent lid for the hot summer days, and when I am just cruising around town.

72? Ummmm... Ha I cant remember. 9k? its been so long since ive had a tach on a 350. I have some laying around the garage I think. Ill look tomorrow.

well I know the tach reads 9K, but mine wont rev past 7, so I either got some carb and jet issues or low compression.

Check the compression. If its good, throw in some new points and set the timing as well as adjust the valves. If none of that works, clean the carbs. Should fix ya up.

Yeah new points are on the list. I also know my charging system sucks huevos so I plan on doing the banshee conversion or new stator. I know I got some carb issues anyway to sort out... It starves itself of fuel at just below a quarter tank... So some teaming and syncing is due... Just don't have the shop near enough to me to make any big headway quickly. I wish I had a nice big garage, you really take certain things for granted until they are gone, oh well... se la ve
