I read that you fitted a cb77 tank to a 350 frame. Do you have any tips for doing it? I have a 71 cl350 and I just got a Superhawk tank and obviously it doesn't fit. What steps did you go about underneath to make it work? Cheers.

I'm thinking I can get around grinding down the frame. It looks as if I can just cut out the bottom of the tank and fab up an insert that will fit the frame. It's a superhawk tank so it seems to be about the same length as the stock tank. I'm going to have to either swap out the rubber grommets on the front or weld new braces on the front since they are smaller on the superhawk tank. It looks like it may fit beautifully on the frame on the back close to the seat. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed. This is the tank:

I will be painting it a different color. It's not a bad deal for $26. The guy did cut off the tabs and all that and did some filling in. But it should look sweet when it's all done.
