Most of you have been riding for a while and have found one thing or another that suits you and how you ride.
I love my Cafe (honestly I loved building it) but I am tired of the little things that always go wrong. this being said I know no matter what older bike I have there will always be little things.
I am inlove with my scooter I do mostly urban riding and it suits me. Right now I have my motorcycle(once it's running again) for longer rides and the scooter as my daily commuter.
I was thinking of trying to swap my cafe for another scooter? just curious what you guys would do.
For me, the old CL360 is about as small and as light as I am willing to go. No scooters for this boy... of course I live in an area that's much more rural than urban, too.
I would keep both.. Why would you want 2 scooters?
Trust me, if you sell/trade your cafe racer, come spring time you are gonna get hit with serious Seller Remorse...
At least with a bike in the garage, you can at least ride it when the itch returns...
Yeah I was thinking that as well, I can't part with the old girl I don't think It would be sellers remorse noel, I think I can't stand the idea of someone riding something I built.
at least I am still riding scooter today 27 degrees and winter gloves full face helmet and by neck warmer. Once I get the winter windscreen I will be set to finish riding the year out.
You built it. Don't sell it. They don't take up that much space. little things go wrong. No biggie. Selling it will be a biggie. And you will regret it. I have my Norton going on 42 years. And I can't imagine life without it.

SOmething always going wrong?... yeah.. thats why I love these old bikes...(+ also the reason why I got the GSXR....push button, go and no worries if I have to go somewhere and cant afford to think about it)
Ya, I personally can't get into scooters, but I can understand those who do! ;D
I say, keep al least 1 cafe machine if you can! Being that they're old they will break down more often but that's part of the 'charm'! ;D
I love them because they remind me of my youth and make me feel young! (I'm not!) ;D I also admit I like to be a little different, so my cafe machine gives me that too!
In the end, only you know what's best for you. Good luck with your decision! ;D
We put up with the little things because we get the big picture
Same kinda things I went through with my car. Bought it and it seemed fine, now 4 years later I've had the altenator replaced, the starter motor refurbished, the front brakes replaced...and I'm about to do the front suspension bushes and diff. Its all the little things that add up, but once you've got them out of the way you've got a practically new machine!
