So, I have finished a couple projects and posted final pictures in 'show-n-shine' and such, but never documented the process, so here we go (first for everything). Seems like this is how you earn your stripes around here- lol.

1984 R80RT, aka "The Moose": Bought from the second owner (had it since '88) with 37K miles. Runs great and cosmetically is an 8/10. The guy wanted the room in his garage and I graciously took the bike for a bit more than half his aking price ;)

I have been looking for a fiberglass seat, but everything was too long or oddly shaped. So, I cut down the stock pan and my neight and I welded it. Matches the line well and is the perfect length. Now gotta cut down the rear subframe hoop to match.

Wise choice on keeping the stock pan. I think it looks great, much nicer than the standard... don't know what to call it, quarter circle? That most people stick on the end of their bikes. The paint looks to be original and in good condition, do you think you will paint it? I'm also very jealous of your rims. They are my favourite of the 3(wire spoke, 4 spoke, and these ones).

I have an R80(TIC, though), too, that I'm trying to turn into a cafe racer. But when you live in the middle of nowhere(NZ), you spend a looong time waiting for parts in the mail.
