You work all the way up by Creedmoor ? There is an assembly plant for Altec there. Is that the one you're talking about?

About the ride, that sounds good. I don't know if I'll be able to make it since I am not sure if i will have my knee surgery on the 6th or before that. But I will keep you posted before then.

Are any of you going to the Bull City Rumble?

Ya, the assembly plant in Creedmoor. I am doing a co-op there with them in product engineering right now. Just keep me posted about the knee so I know whether or not your gonna come.

I may be at the Bull city rumble, if i do it will be for a few hours around 1:30 or so just to check things out. i will let u know later on in the week if i am for sure going to go or not

so my bike wont be done by this weekend and amturbev's wont be ready in time either, but we are definatly going to head there on saturday for the day. We may meet yall at the BP in the morning in the Mini just to follow u guys there but idk yet, i gotta talk to aaron about it, either way we will definitely see you guys there. Eddie, if we dont meet u guys at the BP, i will give u a call sometime during the day to see where u guys are and we will meet up with you.

Yeah Scott, nice to finally meet you as well. i was talking with Eddie Medina with the caffed out Harley. but he did not mention anything about the uwharries.
Had a great time as well, I liked the fact that the atmosphere wasn't your typical BIKER type show. Eric, thanks for coming out with both your bikes.

Hey Motorcycle Madness is going on down at the East Coast Timing Association Land Speed Trials in Maxton this month. My family has a party barn down there, and I have invited folks from Charlotte and Raleigh riding groups to come down Friday and Saturday, Sep 24 and 25. It'd be great if some of you folks could attend also!

Yeah, I'd kind of like it if we would just set up a regular time to get together each month, but maybe that is just the injuneer in me...

I wish I could this wednesday, but I have plans made. But yes Scot, we do need to make it a steady once a month at least. How about last wednesday of every month? That will mean I will have to miss this one though. Or we could just do the first Wednesday of every month, it's supposed to be sunny next week.

How was that show you went to Scot? who else went? pics?

Did you get your bike title yet, are you going to the Altec ride? I won't be going to the ride, but I will be riding that day and going to the Bike show at Andy's in Creedmoor this saturday. It will be my last ride for a while, I go for knee surgery next wednesday. Oh wait. nevermind about next wednesday meet then.

Yeah this Wednesday might be a little tight for this group - seems to be a bit slow on the intake at the moment. Maybe we have a restriction at the air cleaner? ;D 4th Wednesday might be better than last Wednesday though - that way, it wont be changing, based on whether there are 4 or 5 Wednesdays in the month? Just a thought.

I didn't get any good shots from the Cannonball or Maxton. I kept forgetting my camera, and the cell phone cam sucks pretty bad. Guess you had to be there! Only 2 of us went to Greeneville for the Cannonball, but those bikes were incredible. Those folks are true adventurers. We had about 7 folks head to Maxton, but attendance was light overall at the event (maybe due to the heat?). Fastest run I caught on the day was 221 mph. Next month might be better for that.

So what else is coming up? I am starting to hear about the Port City Rumble in Wilmington - Oct 9th....

I dont think i am going to go on the Altec ride. My bike still isnt in the best of running conditions, it seems i have an air leak in the boots for the carbs and am trying to fix that up. I also ended up getting a ticket for the nc state football game this weekend So i am just going to go to the game and work on finishing the bike up.

As far as a monthly meet up i am down with that. I have a community group i go to every wednesday from 7:30 to 9:30, but I can miss one a month to meet up with you guys for dinner, unless we all wanna meet on tuesday or something instead, but its not a big deal if wednesday is best for everyone, i will still make it.

I think you're right scot, every 4th wednesday is better. I didn't thik about that, thanks. I'm usually busy wednesday nights as well Ryan. But I can skip what I'm doing once a month, no biggie.

I'll be out of commission for a couple of months while I hea from my knee surgery. Should be back up and running by next spring. I plan on tearing into the XS650 engine and rebuilding it over the winter.
