I’m looking for my first bike. i bought a CL350 as a parts bike and i haven’t found a good 2nd donor bike in the year i have had it, so the search for a new bike in sues. I’m completely new to riding, but i have a bit of experience with a wide variety of cars, including my recent purchase of a Mercedes 300CD, so I’m good with the getting my hand dirty.

the reason i would like an RD250 is they are light and small bikes with more power than most in its weight/displacement class.
this particular bike runs, but has bad tires, is missing a side cover, and looks like ass. i personally think its only worth $700, and wanted to insure my assessment was correct.

If all it needs is the battery, and it "runs and rides" just fine? The price isn't bad. It's about fair for what they're selling for.

Now, having said that... I'd offer him half his asking price and negotiate from there.

And I love my DS7 :)
Great little "around town" bike ;)

the dude came down to $850, and I’m likely going to pick it up this week.

i am really digging the simplicity of these bikes, and cant wait to make it even more simple.

here's some pics in case he takes it down.

Great bike, I remember these from the seventies...they were pretty much the bench mark by which all 250's were measured.

im certain these things are quick. most cars dont have close to a 1hp/10lbs ratio, and my goal is to make the bike as light as possible without making it unridable.
